3 – Jesus’ Second Year of Public Ministry

The-Gospel-of-Luke2-10The second year of Jesus’ public ministry began with Jesus healing the servant of the Roman centurion. His first year ended with Jesus’ return to Galilee from Judea, because John had been cast into prison, and the Jewish authorities were seeking how to eliminate Jesus as well. Anyway, Jesus’ second year preaching the Gospel was just as eventful or perhaps more so than his first year. It was during this year that Herod killed John, and Jesus fed the 5000. He also healed the demoniac called Legion, raised two people from the dead and sent the 12 out on their own to preach the Gospel in different towns in Galilee. All things considered, it seems to have been a really great year for Jesus and the disciples. It ended with Jesus taking his disciples to Caesarea Philippi and Peter making his great confession that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

Below are the studies I worked through and wrote down. I hope they will affect others in a manner similar to how they benefited me, while I worked through them.
