Acts – Jesus Ascension to the Famine of 48-49 AD
The chronology of the blogs below offer what I believe to be compelling evidence within the text that shows that Acts 1 through 7 was a matter of 3 to 4 years and not merely months as some assume. For the most part this is the theme of this study. What occurred during this time was of secondary importance to the study. What I wanted to do was to verify and record a timeline for the Book of Acts, which, in the context of the first half of this study was from chapters 1 through 7 or from Jesus Ascension to Stephen’s death.
Part two of the study is concerned with the timeline of Paul’s ministry with a particular reference to his second visit to Jerusalem, which occurred for the Council of Jerusalem recorded in Acts 15. When did it occur, and how can we know? I enjoyed doing this, and I hope it is of some value to others as well.
