Clearly, Jesus is the speaker in Revelation 21:5, because it is he who sits upon the throne. He declares, “I make all things new,” but what does he mean by he makes all things new? Well, first of all, we may be assured that, as the Lord had done in the beginning (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1, 3), so it would do for the new creation (Revelation 21:5).
